UK Confined Space Training Survey 2026: We want to hear from you
Is current first aid training really preparing people for an emergency in a confined space?
At Brooklyn Specialist Training Solutions, we believe this is a question worth asking.
Working in a confined space presents risks and practical challenges that are very different from those encountered in a typical workplace. Restricted access, hazardous atmospheres, difficult casualty movement and potentially delayed rescue can all affect how an emergency needs to be managed.
But does the casualty care training currently being provided reflect those realities?
We want to understand what is really happening
We’ve launched the UK Confined Space Training Survey 2026 to hear directly from the people who work in and around confined spaces.
We want responses from confined space workers, supervisors and managers, Health & Safety professionals, rescue personnel, trainers and others with relevant industry experience.
We’re interested in what casualty care training people currently receive, how confident they feel applying it in a confined space emergency, what works well and, importantly, where there are any gaps.
We want to build a clearer picture of current practice and encourage a wider industry conversation about what effective casualty care training for confined space workers should look like.
